I don’t normally blog about my everyday-life on this blog (I have another blog for things like this), but since my dear comrade Staappy requested that I finish off the entry, I will kindly oblige. This entry will not make sense unless you kindly direct yourselves over to Staappy’s Entry.

Day 1 ( Aug 2, 2008 )
Staappy’s entry is pretty accurate. However, I would like to point out that I do dance 2038420384209384028032804x better than the Yang twin… who happens to be 20834023840x my weight. I understand that some people have odd fetishes for larger sizes, but I personally think that any kind of dance is better with a slimmer person. I must also point out that I learned the Hare Hare Yukai dance NOT because I wanted to, but because I saw the stupid Haruhi no Gekisou clip so many times (for Minorin’s sake).

[edit] As per Staappy’s request, I will speak of our fails during breakfast. Before we actually entered camp, we had breakfast at a dim sum place. Despite being Chinese, my ability to use chopsticks is completely nonexistent. My first attempt was the sticky rice wrapped in a lotus leaf. After several failed attempts, I finally managed to pick it up. However, as soon as I tried to move it close to my plate, the monstrosity fell. Looking around quickly, I picked it up with my hands and placed it on my plate, hoping no one will notice.

Well… everyone did.

This same process repeated several times with different pieces of dim sum… which only served to affirm the fact that I am, indeed, a hopeless otaku who can’t do anything but watch anime.

Day 2 ( Aug 3, 2008 )
It was a much more eventful day than Day 1. However, being as lazy as we are, Staappy and I refused to move our asses out of the campground. Everyone else decided to go and check out the strip of sand by a small lake full of suspicious-looking water beach while Staappy and I stayed behind and played cards. During lunch, everyone returned, and I decided to have my concert. Now knowing that the YingYang twins are potential Hirano Aya fans, Staappy and I commenced our counterattack. I am not a good singer, but I can at least sing on-tune and in a variety of voices (mockingly). So I decided to have a Haruhi concert, Aya-style. I belted out God Knows with my best Aya Hirano over-exaggerated-vibratto. Hilariously enough, it gave me the desired effect: the antisocial YingYang twins stuck their head out of their bomb-shelter tent. Being as antisocial as they are, they sent their mother to ask Staappy and myself about our otakuness, and tried to help her daughters blend in by pointing the fact that they cosplayed at the last Anime North convention. I wouldn’t have minded talking to the children about anime (being their senpai in this field), but to send your MOTHER to make friends for you is beyond pathetic. So, I coolly told the mother than yes, Staappy and I are both otaku but no, we had no desire to walk over to their secluded little hut and join them in their dancing to the Lucky Star OP.

The rest of the day was interesting. We did successfully force a few boys to watch IchiMaro (which my cousin , strangely enough, seemed to enjoy. He kept cracking the Ana “Cornwall” joke over and over…) and a little bit of Rozen Maiden. After that we proceeded to the docks and hopped onto a motor boat for a nice ride. Here, Staappy and I did a few Revy (from Black Lagoon) imitations where we stood up on the speeding boat. The feeling of the wind whipping in your face as you stand up in a speeding boat as it hops from wave to wave is… 最高!!!!!!!!! After a few trips around the pathetic puddle of water they tried to call a lake, we were dropped off at the canoe rental. Staappy and I were ecstatic, because we had seen beautiful waterlilies (which reminded us of Marimite for some strange reason) and wanted to go and canoe through the lilypads. However, my father tagged along and provided some dead weight to our canoe, and make our trip exceedingly painful. After ditching my father for my younger sister, our weight was lightened, and we succeeded in securing several beautiful flowers (which we later discovered was illegal XD). The rest of the evening/night was spent eating and playing Poker. Here I must express my gratitude to Staappy, because her luck in dealing me good cards allowed me to completely, and UTTERLY destroy all my opponents.

Day 3 ( Aug 4/2008 )
Today was generally just a day where we all packed up. Nothing notably exciting happened, except the Christianizing of everyone with their new names. Without Staappy’s consent, I readily made her my underLing (a joke that only insiders would understand). Unfortunately, Staappy left before I had a chance to make use of her Pokemon powers. The rest of the day was pretty insignificant, and will not be mentioned in this entry.

Notable facts from our trip:
- Staappy and I listened to Yells~It’s a beautiful life~ at least 10 times, while imitated ALI PROJECT’s pissed off look, Nana’s finger-tapping, and Momoi Haruko’s highpitched voice and passionate singing. Every time I see that PV, I wonder if that Haruko clip was taken before or after I saw her at AN…

- The Hare Hare Yukai dance is NOT something to do early in the morning. I tried to get Staappy to do it with me as morning exercise (mostly because I wanted to taunt those YingYang twins). However, I discovered that when your campsite is right beside the path to the washroom, and when it’s early in the morning, there are tons of people who pass by and give you odd looks as you blast overly-giddy anime music and try to do a retarded-looking dance. So… just a piece of advice to anyone: DO NOT BLAST GIDDY ANIME MUSIC IN PUBLIC, AND DEFINITELY, ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY, DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY OF THE STUPID DANCES!!!

Ok, I’m done. OtaAgg is out (literally… I’m on the verge of completely passing out from fatigue).

Big LOL @ “However, I would like to point out that I do dance 2038420384209384028032804x better than the Yang twin… who happens to be 20834023840x my weight.” which I sadly have to agree on. XD

The bomb shelter was probably not an exaggeration. Did you see what they had in there? They had so many boxes for who knows what reason.

“Being as antisocial as they are, they sent their mother to ask Staappy and myself about our otakuness, and tried to help her daughters blend in by pointing the fact that they cosplayed at the last Anime North convention. I wouldn’t have minded talking to the children about anime (being their senpai in this field) but to send your MOTHER to make friends for you is beyond pathetic.” LOLOL, you forgot the part that my sister would disown me if I did go. XD And yeah, sending the mom to us was kinda pathetic. I was slightly twitching to be honest.

LOL, I didn’t expect Gabriel to like IchiMaro out of all people. And everyone loves Ana XD I first read “最高” in Chinese, then I was like, “OOOO, SAIGO!!” Hahahah. GGed. And there weren’t any signs saying that we couldn’t pick the flowers…(*´艸`*) It had such a sense of nostalgia to it that we HAD to pick it. Rosa Gigantea ftw!

And I love playing poker with you. The fact that you fail at keeping poker faces and how I seem to screw you over every time I deal you ‘crap’ cards is worth letting you have my dealer’s luck. XD

Yells~ can get so addicting, especially after j1m0ne’s post. XD I have at least, listened to that song a dozen times for the past three days. No comment on the morning exercises. XD Weren’t you doing it in the midst of making pancakes as well? LOL.

Yes, I had a great time. Thanks for the supplement. Oyasumi-nasai, Goshujin-sama. What Pokemon powers do I have, btw? Either than Headbutt and Tail Whip. Not that I want to be one. (;´д⊂)
